A new Insane Açai Bar has just opened at DFO Jindalee, offering huge, fresh açai bowls, smoothies, juices, vegan and gluten-free treats, sweets, homemade ice cream and coffee.
The West End Insane Açai Bar already has a cult following. Owner of the new DFO Jindalee store, Georges Chehade, is thrilled to spread the love for these delicious products, that are made with simple, fresh ingredients and can be customised to suit individual tastes, to the Centenary Suburbs.
“Our açai bowls are appropriately named ‘insane’ because they are really large and we offer seven different flavours, while most stores offer one or two. Plus, you can mix and choose your own, flavour combinations, and sometimes these seem ‘insane’,” he said.
“All of our topping sauces are homemade including our peanut butter, hazelnut, pistachio and chocolate sauces, and we pride ourselves on using the freshest and best quality ingredients we can find, while keeping our prices
affordable and accessible.”
Mr Chehade said the Insane Açai Bar menu includes seven different açai bowls, eight smoothie options, six fresh juice options, four ice cream flavours (all homemade from fresh fruit) and a wide range of organic coffees, plus organic, gluten-free and vegan-friendly sweets and protein add-ons. The brand is a family business that has originated from a specialty background in owning fruit shops to become the Insane Açai Bar at West End and now DFO Jindalee.
Mr Chehade said DFO Jindalee’s mix of retail stores, cinemas, gym and alfresco dining was the perfect location for the brand’s newest site. Insane Açai Bar DFO Jindalee will open from 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday, and from 9am to 6pm on Sundays.
